Decision Making In Your Small Business

Decisions sign in the skyFrom your business conception to the present making important decisions, hopefully wise ones,  have been an integral part of  it. Decision making is an essential and unavoidable responsibility of a business owner- new or veteran. Although, making them may become easier with experience.

Here are my tips to making wise business decisions:

1.  Do Your Research: There is really no reason to be ignorant in your decision making because there are so many resources available. You can use the internet to check out your competition, follow trends or help locate your target market. If you do not have the time to research items yourself then outsource the task to a Virtual Assistant. People can be another great resource. I will discuss this next.

2.  Get a Second Opinion: You can enlist the help of  a few trusted  others to assist in your decision making.

  •  Ask your business partner to help distinguish the pros and cons.
  •  Hire a business consultant to help you decide before you implement a major change.
  •  Mentors are another great way to go. This is an option I personally used.  A mentor, especially one in the same industry, can give you first hand knowledge and accounts from previous first-hand experiences.

3.  Own It: After you have researched and sought out a second opinion, it is time to take the next step. Hold yourself accountable for the final decision.  Be confident that you have made a very educated decision and own it!

Hello Polprav. Thanks for commenting on my post. Sorry for the lateness in my response. Yes, feel free to link back to my blog. Thanks again.

  4. I think your post was secretly a sweet beginning to a potential series of blog posts about this topic. So many users pretend to comprehend what they’re talking about when it comes to this area and in reality, very few people actually get it. You seem to really dominate it though, so I think you need to start writing more. Thank you!
