One of the virtual event services that I provide for my clients is podcast support. It takes a lot of work and dedication to produce a successful podcast on a consistent schedule. Below are 3 ways a Virtual Assistant can provide ongoing support for your business podcast.
1. Internet Research
Guest
:
- Actively find new and interesting people to appear on the show.
- Review the online presence of the potential guest.
Topic:
- Research new products or books to review.
- Locate new services or products that may be beneficial to your listening audience.
- Monitor relevant blogs, articles and websites which can be accomplished through management of Google alerts.
2. Guest Coordination We all know that email, coordinating meetings, and following up can be a real time stealer. So, this is where a Virtual Assistant can be a life saver! Ultimately, a Virtual Assistant can serve as the point of contact for your podcast.
- Manage guest and show calendars to ensure deadlines are not missed and calendars are current.
- Eliminate confusion by overseeing your calendar and schedule/send reminders based on your criteria.
- Follow-up with guests’ questions or concerns through emails with questions regarding format, call-in information, send reminders, interview questions, etc.
- Send traditional thank-you cards or e-cards – after being on the show your VA can send a card or gift to guest to show your appreciation for their appearance on episode in a timely manner.
3. Website Maintenance
- Upload podcast episode to blog or website
- Add new blog post
- Post show notes and resources
Bonus: Transcription
- Transcribe new podcast episodes for distribution or sale
